Set within Johannesburg’s urban fabric, the marketplace is conceived as a calm retreat where materiality, light, and atmosphere shape the experience of gathering. Influenced by Mediterranean sensibilities, the project balances concrete, timber, plaster, and steel through a restrained architectural language that encourages pause, connection, and slow living within the city.

The project comprises a curated food court area, a private studio, and premium stall spaces, each designed to feel connected through a cohesive material and architectural language.
